David Topper is a Pratt-trained graphic designer, artist and illustrator, currently working as a UX (User Experience) designer at Oracle Corporation. He has often been accused of working on “Topper-Time”, meaning exactly at his own pace.

In David’s words, “Topper-Time exists at a very specific pace that allows for brief moments of observation otherwise undiscovered during the rush of our everyday lives. A measure of time barely perceptible by most, it enables me to capture an instant of light, the sway of something ordinarily still, a scent so irresistible, a sound that overcomes. I make room for these bits of time, whenever possible”.

Though these works are digital, I like working in more traditional mediums too. Despite the somewhat contained and seemingly sterile world of my laptop, things can still get surprisingly messy.
